Raised in the once town now city of Sunderland, by her paternal Grandfolk, Ivy's engagement with the silver screen and years gone by started at a young age, watching the likes of Doris Day, Judy Garland and Ginger Rogers whilst perched eagerly on the edge of the sofa, taking it all in with her Nana. She adored the beautiful women, the glamorous clothes, the excitement of the tales being told, little did she know how much this would influence her in later years.
Ivy attended Ballroom and Latin American dance classes until she moved to Cheshire, where she later studied Dramatic arts and performed as part of the local Operatic Society, strengthening her singing and acting skills. Ivy went on to study Performing Arts and Theatre studies and her love of the theatre prevails to this day.
In 2008 Ivy took to the burlesque boards and performed for the first time. Her acts went down a storm with the audience and promoter and Ivy has been invited back on their birthday every year to perform. Soon word spread and the requests rolled in leading Ivy up and down the UK to perform to the masses.
In the same year Ivy met Kate Donovan a genuine all American pinup model living in the UK. It wasn't long before Ivy was in front of the camera, since leading to starring in several photoshoots and filming exclusive short films for the Donovan's Darlings website.
In 2010 Ivy founded the North West Burlesque Society alongside Ginger La Rouge and Glorian Gray. They created an informal event for like minded individuals to network, share experiences, learn and to bring the local burlesque community together. The NWBS has been going strong for ever since and continues to help those new to the scene and those more experienced alike.
Ivy currently resides in south Manchester with her husband and their creature from the Planet 66, Schacho.
